Our Holiday Focus: Empowering Guardians, Supporting Children
27/01/2026We were delighted to welcome Dr. Prudy and Mr. Thaddeus from Helping Hands for Vulnerable Children (HHVC). Traveling from the United States to Uganda, they visited our children across the various schools they attend.
During their stay, Dr. Prudy and Mr. Thaddeus engaged the children through interactive sessions that encouraged deep conversation. The children shared their progress and dreams for the future; becoming teachers, nurses, pilots and more. They received encouragement to work hard and pursue their aspirations.

The visitors also brought gifts, including school supplies and small treats for the children, a reminder that support extends beyond their immediate community.
“I am really happy they took the time to visit us. We are always happy for the support with tuition and scholastic materials, and coming here to check on us shows how much they care.”
— Immaculate, Plumbing student at Nyakatare Technical Institute

We are grateful to Dr. Prudy and Mr. Thaddeus for their kindness and commitment. Their visits are always meaningful for our community, and we look forward to continuing our work together.
At WOOVC, we believe every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and empowered. Visits like this remind us why that mission matters.
