School Visitation Day at Brain Giant Primary School
March 30, 2025A special kind of magic in the air lingers when a new school term begins at both WOOVC and at different boarding schools attended by our children. It’s always a time of fresh starts as we wave goodbye to the calm and resting days of the school break and while saying hello to a new chapter. Those big, bright smiles are in full force and these moments matters so much- for the kids, their guardians, our communities and for all of us the entire WOOVC team who get to be part of their journey of hope through Education each day
Watching our WOOVC kids step into this term is like watching a story unfold, a story of vulnerable kids from very difficult backgrounds who started from very humble beginnings at WOOVC and are now advancing one step at a time; this term sees, all program children join their next classes, it’s a step in the right direction; such moments remind us how WOOVC gets closer to its bigger goal each day. Every child brings their own spark, their own way of diving into the fun and challenges of the new term
Our team at WOOVC planned much better to make this term a good experience for each child; we want them to get more excited and then ‘show up’ for the term doing their very best. We have made everything they need for the term available to them, it’s a chance for the children to feel special, be themselves and give their academic journey their best
This term, we enrolled 13 new brilliant children into the education program bringing the total number to 34 children in the program These kids were identified through rigorous selection criteria that ensures the best and most suitable ones are selected from hundreds of vulnerable children in our communities. Of these 13 children, 3 joined S.1 and are attending Bishop Comboni College-Kambuga, 4 will be doing vocational skilling programs at Kihihi Community Polytechnic and 6 are exceptional young kids who have joined Brain Giant Primary school.
We hosted all our kids, both old and new, at our WOOVC offices for a mini-Centre Day a few days before the opening day of the term; We took them through a career guidance session, preparing them for the new term and on the same day we distributed all school needs that we had taken a number of days putting together
We are ever eternally grateful to Helping Hands for Vulnerable children-HHVC for enabling this to happen, WOOVC would have never come this far and brought all this hope in our communities without HHVC overwhelming support, commitment and love
It’s time for the kids to get into serious academic business, let’s keep them in our prayers!
